    How do you set up a team to feel ownership / responsibility for the product they are building?

    Things that can help

    • it helps if it aligns to personal values
    • seeing the impact that your work has on real people
    • short iterations (to help with seeing the impact)
    • user research

    Things that can hinder

    • distance from ownership of the work
    • being a supplier in an agency making work for someone else (and with different motivations e.g. budget)
    • prescriptive product owner
