Here’s the notes I made on that book I haven’t read yet:
“Adapt: Why success always starts with failure” by Tim Harford.
* Linear plans always fail.
* We need to accept variation will happen. 3 big dimensions of variation:
** Local (things we know about one context don’t translate to others)
** Time (opportunities open up and close)
** Human (inconsistent, unreliable, liars)
* We don’t want to just survive, but to benefit when one of these things changes.
* If an idea turns out to be wrong, make it so it’s not a big deal.
* Seek feedback, learn from mistakes.
